I must say that the director of this film is a genius. The film depicts a number of full-bodied characters in just about 90 minutes with a relentlessly fast pace. The direction is just amazing.
Grace, portrayed by Brie Larson, is the most successful and impressive character. She was abused and raped by her father ten years ago and is now the supervisor at a group home for troubled teenagers. She helps the troubled teenagers, and at the same time she has her own troubles deeply in her heart. Finally, she gets through with the help from Jayden, one of the kids at the group home.
Marcus is another rich character in the movie. He is 18 and has problems with the prospect of leaving the group home. He even tries to commit suicide. In the end, with the help from the workers at the group home, he gets a job and dates a beautiful girl.
